Job Summary
As Community Lead for Ceramic, you will be responsible for cultivating the growth of a thriving community for the Dataverse, the new future of the internet. You will own the end-to-end community funnel, lead optimization for this funnel, and implement tactics to energize our audiences. The ideal candidate for this role is a Master of Memes and Vibes, and is not only comfortable online, but fully immersed as part of the Web3 community. This role will partner with Product, BD, and Marketing to help shape the Ceramic community.
You will be responsible for both broadening and deepening the reach of Ceramic’s community presence. You will evangelize the community, know how to get people excited for our vision of Web3 and the Dataverse, and then understand how to actionably leverage that enthusiasm to help us continue to build and scale.
Success looks like…
📍 Within your first 12 months, grow the Ceramic community from a passionate band of early believers into a 100k+ strong group of activated members across X (Twitter), Discord, Telegram, Farcaster, our forums, and other mediums. 📍 Act as a public facing advocate and evangelist of Ceramic and the greater data ecosystem. With a penchant for creating memorable content and an affinity for public speaking while spreading good vibes, you’ll create growth and engagement initiatives to entertain and educate the masses (such as by interacting with online communities, hosting X/Twitter spaces and holding community events and competitions). 📍 Understand the funnel and end-to-end lifecycle of a community member, and create a strategy to increase engagement and retention. You will devise ways to activate the community towards business and marketing objectives. 📍 Scale the community by identifying, mentoring, and elevating moderators from the community. As a servant leader, you will encourage and facilitate self organization within the community, and create a playbook for repeatable, continued, and scalable growth.

📍 You are crypto native and online a lot. You stay up to date on the latest Web3 trends, narratives, metas and personalities. You have an opinion on why the latest meme to go viral is funny or not. You are familiar with the best and latest projects across DeFi, NFT, File Storage, and other ecosystems. 📍 You have a track record of setting strategy and executing on that strategy to successfully manage and scale communities, ideally at a Web3 organization. 📍 You are an expert at managing social accounts across a variety of platforms such as X (Twitter), Discord, Farcaster, Telegram, etc. You understand the fundamentals of Discord server management and how to analyze metrics across platforms. 📍 You understand how to be data driven to drive the success of a community, but also when to rely on personal intuition to guide people. 📍 You have extremely strong communication skills and can inspire others with your wit, humor, and knowledge. You are comfortable communicating with global audiences and navigating potential language barriers. 📍 You have an eye for design and the skills to quickly bring memes and other creative ideas to life.
Salary range
$115k - $135k depending on seniority and location. We understand everyone's risk preferences and life situation is different so we can offer flexibility here. Our goal is to extend a fair and exciting offer, while preserving fairness across the team.
