Job Summary
Role
šThe Payments team at Whatnot are globally responsible for creating each order, gathering every payment from customers across multiple local and global payment methods, convenient and reliable seller payouts, taxes, customs, returns, refunds and more. We are deeply connected with the foundations of our business and unlock tremendous growth while creating exciting new ways for our users to transact. šWe're looking for an experienced Android developer with a proven track record for building slick UIs that people love. Whatnot is growing very rapidly, so you must be able to cope with the pressure that comes with a high-growth environment and be open to wearing multiple hats. šBuild intuitive payments and payouts user interfaces from the ground up for every buyer and seller globally. šCreate modifiable, maintainable, and well-tested code. šWork closely with Engineering, Product and Design on multiple P0 company priorities which move the most critical business metrics. šContribute to the core Android product and make Whatnot on Android world-class. šInvestigate and solve issues with bugs and data inconsistencies. šImprove the availability and performance of current systems. šWork with the engineering team to define implementation strategy, define overall requirements, and redefine a product, if needed.

Expert in Kotlin. šYou are known for ship lightning fast, making good trade-off decisions. šExcellent communication/writing skills. šSelf-starter. You will be able to hit the ground running with little direction. šStartup experience at a high-growth company preferred.
