Traditionally, one of the major barriers to the adoption of technologies is public awareness — since people can’t use a product they have never heard of.
In order to tackle this, the popular U.S-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase launched the Coinbase Earn platform, helping its users learn about the specifics of a variety of cryptocurrencies while providing a small reward for the privilege. Now, according to a recent announcement from Stellar, the latest cryptocurrency to be featured on the platform is none other than Stellar Lumens (XLM) — a cryptocurrency used to power financial products built on the Stellar blockchain. Stellar is now the fourth cryptocurrency to partner with the Coinbase Earn platform, joining previous heavy hitters including Basic Attention Token (BAT), 0x (ZRX) and Zcash (ZEC). Stellar Sets its Sights on Millions

As it stands, the Stellar Lumens course offers, by far, the most generous rewards on Coinbase Earn — providing users the opportunity to earn up to $50. Through its partnership with Coinbase, Stellar has created five separate tutorials, comprised of short two-to-three-minute videos. After watching each video and answering a few basic questions, users are credited with a $2 XLM reward. To reach the maximum reward of $50, learners will need to invite a total of 4 friends to Coinbase Earn — with each of these friends being required to complete at least one lesson from the Stellar Lumens course. stellar lumens xlm

Earn More Than Ever Before

Stellar has allocated a total of one billion XLM to the program, currently worth a whopping $103 million. In total, this means the program aims to target at least two million Coinbase users — making it easily the most aggressive approach yet seen on the platform. At these rates, Stellar is paying at least five times as much as the nearest course, with Basic Attention Token (BAT) offering a total of $10 for completing its course. To participate, learners simply need to register for a Coinbase account and begin working their way through the Stellar Lumens course. Which cryptocurrency would you like to be paid to learn more about? Will the value of Stellar Lumens (XLM) change as a result of the announcement? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
