Binance Coin (BNB) isn’t expected to gain much by the end of 2022. However, holding until 2030 may see BNB hodlers gaining massive returns. This is according to Finder.com’s latest Binance Coin Predictions Report.

Binance Coin: Expert Opinion

Finder.com’s panel is made up of fintech, crypto and NFT specialists. They predict BNB will be worth $527 by the end of 2022. This is exactly what the coin was worth at the beginning of 2022.

In fact, only 7% think BNB will be the best performing altcoin this year.

The panel is most bullish on Polkadot (21%). This is followed by Terra (14%), and then Cardano (10%) out of all altcoins.

Daniel Polotsky, CoinFlip founder, gave a 2022 price prediction on par with the panel average. He said that the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) gives BNB an advantage. “Binance Smart Chain (whose native coin is BNB) is a robust blockchain that also has the advantage of having the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange in its corner. Binance’s association with BSC/BNB may lead people to question just how decentralized it is; however, the bright side is that the exchange can use its platform and name recognition to recruit the world’s best developers to create their projects on BSC.”

Senior lecturer at the University of Brighton Paul Levy sees the coin ending the year worth $700. “It is a popular currency and should continue to grow with the wider market (if that also grows).”

Desmond Marshall is the MD of Rouge Ventures and Rouge International. He said BNB has potential. He thinks that success will depend on how Binance handles issues around government regulations and security. “BNB may very well be a dark horse running up to ETH. Its price is very affordable for the general consumer, but the only issue is how Binance as a company does.”

Not so fast

Elvira Sojli, associate professor at the University of New South Wales, gives a more bearish prediction of just $300. John Hawkins, senior lecturer at the University of Canberra, is also low on BNB’s future. “BNB’s price just tends to move with that of Bitcoin as it has not established a strong individual identity.”

And yet. BNB will be worth $975 by the end of 2025, according to the panel average. This is before soaring to $2,488 in December 2030. That figure is roughly 372% higher than BNB’s price at the beginning of this year.

John Stefanidis, Balthazar CEO, thinks BNB will be worth $3,000 by 2030. He says that with its excellent technology and “having complied with regulation globally, it’s set up for long-term success. Great UX, strong ventures team, excellent brand.”

Fred Schebesta, Finder founder, is the most bullish on the coin’s future. He predicts an end-of-2030 price of $10,000. But, it will all depend on the Binance Smart Chain community.

“Similar to Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche and Fantom, the price will entirely depend on the ability for Binance and the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) community to increase trust and capability for the protocol. It seems likely that that value will rubberband between these top smart-contract ecosystems, as they each move two steps forward one step back.”
