CTO Mira Murati has been appointed interim CEO of OpenAI. She will lead the company with a search process underway to identify a permanent successor.
Sam Altmanās departure follows a ādeliberative review process by the board.ā It concluded that OpenAIās founder was not consistently candid in his communications with the board. Which, in turn, hindered its ability to exercise its responsibilities.
