For the second time this month, Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen has contributed to Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign.

While many industry leaders lean towards supporting Donald Trump, Larsen recently added $10 million in XRP to Harris’s campaign.

Chris Larsen Donates $10 Million in XRP

Chris Larsen believes Harris can support the crypto industry through the Democratic Party’s new approach. Just over a week ago, Larsen donated $1 million worth of XRP to her campaign.

“It’s time for the Democrats to have a new approach to tech innovation, including crypto. I believe Kamala Harris
will ensure that American technology dominates the world, which is why I’m donating $10 million in XRP in support of her,” Larsen stated.

This month, Ripple filed a cross-appeal seeking a more decisive resolution to its legal dispute with the SEC. Despite the prolonged legal battle with the SEC under Democratic leadership, Chris Larsen supports the party’s governance.

Ripple’s CEO Brad Garlinghouse expressed respect for Larsen’s decision and reaffirmed Ripple’s commitment to working with both Democrats and Republicans to promote crypto-friendly policies. Previously, Ripple announced a $50 million contribution to Fairshake, a super political action committee (PAC) supporting pro-crypto political candidates for the 2024 elections.

“Chris Larsen’s net worth is $3.1 billion. He donated an amount of money he can’t even feel (0.3% of his net worth). Stuart Alderoty donated to Trump and Ripple has invested $50 million into a super PAC called Fairshake that supports democrats and republicans alike, including Bernie Moreno, Patrick McHenry and Dusty Johnson…Politics is a complex game and obviously Ripple is playing it.” NotFinancialAdvice.Crypto commented.
