On Coinbase Desktop

To buy crypto on the Coinbase desktop, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your Coinbase account or create a new one. 
2. Click on the “Buy & Sell” tab in the top right corner. 
3. Tab will appear with three different options: “Buy,” “Sell,” & “Convert.”
4. Click on “Buy.”
5. Enter the amount of crypto you want to buy. 
6. Select which crypto you want to buy and what payment method you want to choose for this purchase. 
7. Tap “Preview Buy” when ready, as this will give you details of your purchase. This is the time to make sure everything looks good. 
8. Upon double-checking, you can confirm your purchase by clicking “Buy Now.”
9. Once the order is processed, you will receive an email, and Coinbase will take you to the confirmation screen. That’s it!

To sell crypto on the Coinbase desktop, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your Coinbase account or create a new one.  
2. Select “Buy & Sell,” and then click “Sell.”
3. Enter the amount you want to sell and choose the asset you want to sell. 
4. If applicable, change the “To” destination to your required destination. 
5. Select “Review Order” to double-check in case of any last-minute changes. 
6. Select “Sell Now” to complete the sale. 

To convert crypto on the Coinbase desktop, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your Coinbase account or create a new one.  
2. Select “Buy & Sell,” and then click “Convert.”
3. A Panel will open with the option to convert one crypto to another. 
4. Enter the amount you want to convert from one crypto to the other. 
5. Click “Preview Convert” for any last-minute changes. 
6. Confirm the conversion transaction.

On the Coinbase Mobile App

To buy crypto on the Coinbase app, follow these steps:

1. Tap “Buy” on the top left corner of Coinbase’s app. 
2. Select the asset you want to buy. 
3. Enter the amount of your local currency that you would like to buy. 
4. Tap “Review Order” to confirm the order after reviewing all the details. 
5. Tap “Buy Now.”

To sell crypto on the Coinbase app, follow these steps:

1. Tap “Sell” on the home screen of the Coinbase app. 
2. Choose the asset you want to sell and then enter the amount.
3. If applicable, change the “Add to” destination. 
4. Select “Review Order” and double-check if all things are in order. 
5. Select “Place Order” to complete the sale. 

To convert crypto on the Coinbase App, follow these steps:

1. Tap the “dotted icon” on the top left corner of the Coinbase app. 
2. Tap on “Convert.”
3. On the panel, select the crypto you would like to convert to another crypto. 
4. Enter the cash amount. 
5. Select “Preview Convert” and double-check if there are any last-minute changes. 
6. Confirm the conversion transaction.

Monitor Crypto in the Coinbase App

Coinbase gives you a detailed background of the cash you have invested, allowing you to better track and understand your investments. This feature is most popular on the Coinbase App, letting users view their portfolio details on the Go. 

To see your investment performance, follow these steps: 

• From the home screen, tap “your balance.”
• Select the timeline you would like to see from the graph. 
• Tap “Balance” again, and a pop-up window will appear with your investment performance details.
