Grayscale revealed an extensive list of cryptocurrencies, including meme coins and AI tokens, which could soon join its investment products.

As part of its review process, the investment manager adjusts its product catalog 15 days after quarter-end.

Grayscale Reveals Potential Candidates for Q1 2025

In an official statement, Grayscale said that it is considering adding 39 altcoins to its growing suite of investible digital assets. Based on the list, and as has been done in the past, the 39 altcoins fall under five groups: Currencies (crypto asset as a medium of exchange or store of value), Smart Contract Platforms, Financials, Consumer & Culture, and Utilities & Services.

Grayscale List of Potential Investible Assets

Notably, this is not the first time Grayscale has added altcoins to its investment suite. In a similar move, the investment manager added 35 altcoins to its investment catalog in mid-October.

Noteworthy, some altcoins that were on the previous list of consideration remain in the latest one. Among them are KAS, APT, ARB, and TIA. In the same way, others have been removed. This hints at the complexities that come with making it to Grayscale’s list of investible projects.

“The list is subject to change intra-quarter as some multi-asset funds reconstitute and we launch new single-asset products,” Grayscale added.

Assets or projects marked with an asterisk (*) were added to the list only after December 31. Their merit could be based on emerging trends in the crypto industry as it continues to grow.

Meanwhile, this updated list shows that Grayscale is paying attention to RWA, DePin, and AI, with a special interest in AI agent tokens.

Additionally, Grayscale also included Binance Coin (BNB) and Hyperliquid (HYPE), which are tokens linked to the respective centralized and decentralized exchange. It shows that the firm is looking to dip into both avenues of the market and expand its investment spectrum.

Also, Grayscale’s announcement did not have a notable impact on any of the 39 altcoin’s prices. The overall market has seen continuous liquidations over the past week, with a brief upside noted today.
