Brexit

Brexit is the scheduled withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU).

After a referendum help on June 2016 in which a slight majority of voters voted to leave, the government announced the withdrawal from the EU in March 2017, following a two year plan, with the deadline to leave on March 2019.

However, the deadline has been extended twice, currently being on October 31. The government is seeking a third extension since they were unable to reach an agreement before October 19.

The most major effects coming from leaving the EU will depend on how closely it will remain tied with the UK, or if the UK will withdraw before agreeing terms, in what is refereed to as no-deal Brexit.
