Google Maps Now Lets Users Report Traffic Trouble on iOS

Road incident reporting has been one of the most valuable features of Google Maps for a long time, as it helped drivers avoid traffic jams and plan proper routes. However, it was only available in the Android version of Google maps, while iOS users only had access to some of the more basic features. This has finally changed with Google’s recent update, which brought collision reporting and other incidents to the iOS version of the app, as well. Users can now see, or let others know if there is any kind of road incident. The new addition is slowly turning Google Maps app into something similar to Waze, and it is making the app more inclusive by not limiting these highly-useful options to a single platform.

Google also announced that it would expand the range of various incidents that can be reported. The list will not only include road accidents, but also issues such as construction, lane closures, disabled cars stuck on the road, as well as other objects that might be blocking the road and slowing down or stopping the traffic. According to what is known, the additional categories will roll out by the end of the week, alongside iOS support. Furthermore, Google One subscribers will find some additional treats in the store, as well. Those who find themselves on ‘select’ plans will also receive a certain percentage in Google Store credit, and all they need to do to get it is purchase accessories or devices from the store.

One example is receiving a three-month-long free trial for the entry-level plan, featuring 100GB of storage for anyone who purchases Pixel 4.
