Ukrainian TV Host Offers 5M Rubles Worth of Crypto to Russian Soldiers

Russia and Ukraine have already started the talks to stop the war. In the meantime, Masha Efrosinina, who is a media personality and the goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Population Fund, has a different offer for the Russian armed forces.

Efrosinina uploaded an Instagram video in which she announces giving away 5 million rubles ($52,650 at the time of writing) in either crypto or fiat to the Russian soldiers who surrender. Moreover, the 42-year-old TV host offered forgiveness after their official trial. According to Efrosinina, the offer comes from “The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the global IT community.”

Russians who didn’t know about killing

According to Oksana Markarova, the Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S., some of the Russian soldiers who were captured by the Ukrainian military did not know the exact details of the operation.

“Also noting that they didn’t know that they were brought to Ukraine to kill Ukrainians,” Markarova said in a video for the Washington Post. “They thought that they were doing something else there.”
