Alongside crypto airdrops, token generation events (TGE) are another easy entry for investors into high-potential projects.

With the following TGEs planned for this week, interested investors have a chance to join the projects early.

Animecoin

Animecoin is on the watchlist this week after joining the OKX Jumpstart Mining on Monday at 6:00 am UTC on Jan 20, 2025. The program allows holders of OKX’s native token, OKB, and Bitcoin (BTC) to stake their assets and earn ANIME tokens in return.

“Introducing ANIME (Animecoin) on OKX Jumpstart The OKX Jumpstart Mining will commence at 6:00 am UTC on Jan 20, 2025. OKB and BTC holders can stake both OKB and BTC to mine ANIME tokens in return,” OKX said.

In a recent update, the project’s team announced that its Token Generation Event (TGE) is scheduled for January 23. Its unique allocation mechanics have sparked interest, as the project leverages Collector Score (CS) points instead of relying solely on NFT ownership.

Orbiter Finance

Another interesting watch is Orbiter Finance, a prominent Layer-2 (L2) scaling solution whose TGE is due on Monday, January 20. This event is expected to reward early adopters and participants in the Orbiter Finance ecosystem.

“Orbiter Finance’s token TGE on Jan 20, 2025,” the network said.

Orbiter Finance’s OBT tokens bear an ERC-20 governance and utility, designed to drive the protocol’s vision of an omni-chain future and mass adoption of Web3 technologies. It will launch on Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Base networks with a total supply of 10 billion.

Plume Network

Another noteworthy TGE this week is Plume Network, a public blockchain designed to scale real-world assets (RWAs). It enables activities such as earning yield, borrowing, lending, trading, and leveraged speculation. Currently in a private testnet, the network already supports over 80 RWA and DeFi ecosystems.

The Plume Network TGE for its PLUME token is on Tuesday after raising $30 million in two funding rounds. Lead investors include Brevan Howard, Lightspeed Faction, and Galaxy, among others.

“Today, we’re proud to announce our $20 million Series A from leading investors in both crypto and TradFi,” the network said in December.

Jambo

This mobile application for services like ride-hailing, banking, communication, and food delivery will launch its J token on January 22. The token generation event comes after the project raised $37.5 million from multiple investors, including Paradigm, Pantera, and Gemini.

“The ticker is J A new era for Jambo launching January 2025,” the project stated in January.

Jambo’s J token is set to launch on Solana with a total supply of one billion tokens. To mark the occasion, the project is celebrating its Token Generation Event (TGE) with a giveaway of 50 JamboPhones for participants.

Ethos Network

Another TGE highlight this week is Ethos Network. This credibility platform incentivizes ethical behavior and generates a score that helps determine whom to trust or avoid. It aims to enhance the crypto economy by making credibility an integral factor in transactions and interactions. The project’s TGE is on January 22, and the mainnet launch will follow the project’s raising of $1.75 million.

“Ethos mainnet launches Jan 22 @ 18:00UTC on Base,” the network said.

This TGE also comes after the project witnessed a significant increase in the number of profiles, merit that brought the Ethos network to hold its snapshot last week.

BAD Coin

As a side note, meme project BAD Coin had the TGE for its BADAI project scheduled for this week. However, the network has since postponed it, citing strategic partnership negotiations.

“The scheduled BADAI January 20th TGE is being strategically postponed after discussions with key, important partners. While excellence takes time to perfect, rest assured – this adjustment serves to strengthen BAD’s position in the ecosystem. A new launch date will be announced when all elements are optimized for maximum impact,” the announcement read.
