Solana Price Prediction: The Solana (SOL) price isn’t expected to change too wildly by the end of this year. But if you HODL, things will get good again by the end of 2030. This is according to Finder’s latest price prediction report.
The panel of fintech and Web3 specialists has predicted that the price of SOL will be $45 by the end of 2022.
This figure is around 75% lower than the price prediction at the beginning of 2022. But, the panel thinks that by 2025, this will rise to $166. By December 2030 the price is thought to be $512.
Solana Price Prediction: 40% Say Buy
40% of the panelists say now is the time to snap up some SOL. And yet, 31% say it’s time to hodl. 29% say it is time to sell.
55% of the panel predict that SOL is the crypto most likely to overtake Binance in total value locked on the chain.
Alex Baghdjian is the co-founder of Funday. Baghdjian’s prediction is on par with the panel average at $40. Baghdjian thinks now is the time to buy SOL. This is because it community is thriving thanks to a growing number of developers.
Paul Levy is a senior lecturer at University of Brighton. He predicts a higher price for SOL at the end of 2022. He predicts it will hit $60 due partly to its strong community.
“There has been favorable comment from the tech community about Solana’s stability and its efficient performance. This could underpin it as a safe bet as long as continued development and consistency is achieved.”
Ben Ritchie is the managing director at Digital Capital Management. He predicts that SOL will end 2022 at $40.
“…Frequent offlines and clock problems may hinder its success. We estimated the SOL token will be up to $500 in 2030 if they can address the issues on blockchain reliability, especially when the network traffic is high.”
Outages Remain a Problem
Solana has faced repeated power outages since September 2021. 69% of the panel think this problem will be a persistent one.
Kevin He is Group COO at CloudTech. He thinks the problem will carry on, and says people may abandon SOL thanks to the network instabilities.
“Solana’s network is not stable enough, and it’s not the first time we’ve seen Solana’s network crash this year. More new projects and dApps will also be attracted by Ethereum’s user base and abandon Solana after Ethereum completes its upgrade.”
Patrick White is the CEO of Bitwave. He thinks Solana is an interesting platform. However, power outages are a problem.
“Solana is a really interesting platform, though it’s really fighting for the smart contract platform v2. Ethereum has already won this round and is doing really well on winning the next round with Ethereum 2. So I’m keeping my eye on Solana, but it’s also the only blockchain that regularly has major outages, which just isn’t doable for a financial technology.”
