November 20, 2020 — As the price of Bitcoin approaches its all-time high, freshly retired American rapper Logic claims to have purchased six million dollars worth of the digital currency.
In a recently posted Instagram story, Logic, real name Robert Bryson Hall II, talked about some of his latest investments — or in his words, “I bought $6 million in Bitcoin last month. F*** it.” Seriously.”
At press time, the price of Bitcoin is $18,300. According to his social media presence, Logic is a Bitcoin supporter. His timeline includes numerous references to the digital currency, and he recently went as far as to change his Twitter name to “Bobby Bitcoin.”
In another case of YOLOing, he also reportedly spent over $200k to purchase a first edition Charizard Pokémon card at auction. According to one of his posts, “Being able to enjoy something that I’ve loved since childhood now as a grown man is like buying back a piece of something I could never have.”
While it may be difficult to judge the seriousness of Logic’s Bitcoin claims, he is not the only rapper making waves in the crypto space.
Rapper, singer, and songwriter Lil Yachty is also in the headlines over his plan to tokenize himself on Fyooz.io, a “social money” platform that allows fans to buy access to and participate in the success of their favorite artists.
