Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has shared his vision for the future of AI agents, describing them as the next big leap in workforce evolution.

Nvidia also announced various AI blueprints on January 6 that will help companies build and use AI agents.

All About Nvidia CEO’s AI Vision

Speaking at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on January 6, Nvidia CEO unveiled new gaming chips and talked about the future of AI.

“It is very very clear AI agents is probably the next robotics industry and likely to be a multi-trillion dollar opportunity,” Huang said.

Nvidia also introduced Llama Nemotron, a large language model (LLM) that can help developers create and deploy AI agents. A personal AI supercomputer called Project Digits was also launched.

According to Huang, AI agents are digital workers who can perform specialized tasks alongside human employees, streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency in a wide variety of industries. He emphasized that the integration of these AI agents into businesses will be as seamless as onboarding a new human employee.

Huang further explained that AI agents are not just tools. They are autonomous digital workers capable of carrying out tasks on behalf of humans.

Just like any new hire, AI agents can be trained for specific roles. These agents can help with challenges that are often too time-consuming or complex for humans.

HR for AI Agents?

In Huang’s vision, every company’s IT department will soon evolve into the HR department for AI agents.

“The IT department of every company is going to be the HR department of AI agents in the future,” Huang added.

Just as HR departments manage human talent, the IT team will take responsibility for training AI agents within the company.

Nvidia also introduced a blueprint for various AI agents, including one for video search and summarization. These agents are equipped to analyze vast amounts of video and image content.

The AI agents can analyze video content 30 times faster than real-time processing. This significant speed boost allows for large-scale video analysis. They can also be used in the sports and entertainment industries.

Huang even showcased an AI video analytics agent during his CES keynote. He demonstrated how it assessed the fastball pitching skills of an amateur baseball player compared to a professional.

Moreover, Nvidia’s CEO made the comments after Sam Altman said that AI agents are ready to take over jobs. Amidst these developments, the market capitalization of AI agent coins increased by 5.1% in the past 24 hours. Since Q4 2024, AI agents have been one of the fastest-growing crypto narratives.
