Job Summary
What you will do:
šBe a champion of excellence and will be responsible for the delivery, reliability, operation, and ownership of critical features and components within Venmoās core application.
šLead a high-performing team of software engineers, and bring the leadership required to solve complex, ambiguous, and high-visibility business challenges to drive growth, engagement, and monetization of Venmo.
šBe responsible for the delivery of projects, including quality and timeliness, that impact your domain, and you will manage the technical roadmap for your scrum team and ensure alignment to a defined larger domain strategy.
šInform and influence technical decision making for the components within your group to improve efficiency, productivity, and operational stability.
šEstablish a record of successful technical leadership, a solid understanding of software architecture, and the ability to effectively manage an engineering team that delivers projects spanning platforms or groups.
šWork with and enrich a talented and high-functioning team, lead them through ambiguity, and help determine their long-term strategy along with the organizationās engineering roadmap.
šDefine and drive reliability best practices and improvements across the organization's boundaries while setting and governing clear measures of success.

Job Requirements:
šA record of success in technical leadership, knowledge of software architecture, and cross-functional leadership competency. šA passion for building software and applications that delight customers and the love of delivering innovative solutions to complex problems š5+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, and/or product development. š3+ years managing a geographically distributed engineering team šAdvanced technical acumen in distributed systems design and full stack development, with the ability to connect well with technically savvy engineers and other stakeholders across the organization. šDemonstrate a high emotional quotient and empathy, with the ability to build trust and create psychological safety while tackling tough problems and navigating conflicts. šPracticed in incident management. You bring direction and clarity to ensure urgency in mitigation at the time of an incident and comprehensiveness in fast follow-ups with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
