Google has recently decided to expand its Virtual Assistant and have it introduced to phones other than just Pixel 4. Some Pixel 3 owners are already having it enabled.
Google’s Pixel 4 represents the most advanced of its models, and one of its greatest advantages is its Assistant, which features an advanced version of its virtual helper. However, the company has recently decided to expand the reach of the advanced version of its AI to older models, as well.

New UI Upgrades for Pixel 3
It used to be those Pixel users needed to buy Pixel 4 in order to enjoy the most advanced and upgraded version of Google’s AI. Now, however, the advanced version of the Assistant has already reached Pixel 3 phones, who can enjoy advanced features and different designs. One of the changes that are immediately noticeable is that the Assistant no longer takes the entire screen when providing the answer. Instead, it only uses a portion of it — including only the space that it absolutely needs. This will likely be appreciated by most users, as having the Assistant dominate the screen used to be quite disorienting, and users often felt lost on their own phone while using it.It Won’t Be the Same
Of course, the fact that other phones are getting upgrades to their Assistant does not mean that they will get the exact same experience as those who have an actual Pixel 4. Some features will still be noticeably absent. For example, Pixel 3 will not have a continued conversation nor screen context features. The AI’s look will also not be the same as the one from Pixel 4. However, it will have most of the familiar interface elements. Basically, Google wishes to showcase its new approach to the Assistant, which will become a background companion, rather than a feature that monopolizes the phone’s screen completely. Still, even with the lack of all-new options that can be found on Pixel 4, many will likely appreciate the changes. At least, Pixel 3 users will no longer have to save up for Pixel 4 just to get the increased functionality, which is much appreciated. Do you use Google’s Pixel models?
