Gate has officially launched Taiwan stock trading, further expanding its global stock trading business.
The initial offering includes 19 stocks listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE), covering a range of sectors, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, electronics manufacturing, telecommunications, financial services, and traditional industries. Featured stocks include TSMC (2330), MediaTek (2454), Hon Hai Precision Industry (2317), Quanta Computer (2382), Chunghwa Telecom (2412), and Fubon Financial Holding (2881), providing users with a new channel to access Taiwan’s capital markets.
In terms of trading mechanisms, Taiwan stocks on Gate use the platform’s existing stock account system, allowing users to trade directly with USDT without having to convert funds into New Taiwan dollars (TWD) themselves. Market data, stock prices, portfolio valuations, and profit and loss figures are displayed in TWD, while trading fees are charged in USDT based on the platform’s fee schedule and applicable exchange rates. Through their Gate stock accounts, users can access market data, buy and sell stocks, manage their holdings, and review transaction history, enabling unified management of stock assets across different markets.
For trading hours, Gate supports stock trading during the TWSE’s regular continuous trading session, from 01:00 to 05:25 (UTC) on trading days. Users can find supported stocks through the Gate Stocks trading portal or the platform’s search function. After transferring USDT to their stock accounts, users can trade during the designated hours. For details, please refer to the latest platform announcements and information displayed on the relevant pages regarding trading rules, supported stocks, and fees.
Taiwan’s stock market is home to leading companies in semiconductor manufacturing, chip design, advanced packaging, and AI servers, playing an important role in the global technology supply chain. The platform enables users to access global stock markets through USDT in one place, with fractional stock trading starting from as little as 0.01 shares and access to corresponding stock dividend entitlements. In addition, Gate supports corporate actions such as stock splits and reverse stock splits, as well as cross-brokerage transfers for US and Hong Kong stocks, further expanding its stock trading and asset management services.
