Additionally, Crypto.com previously announced a partnership with a major Formula One Racing team. The partnership will see newly formed Formula One team Aston Martin partnering with their first cryptocurrency company in the form of Crypto.com.

The move into the NHL for a cryptocurrency company makes it the first of its kind. The partnership did not share details relating to fees. The move continues to show that cryptocurrency projects are moving into sports at a rapid rate.

Sports and Crypto Growing Rapidly

NFT fan token project Chiliz is evidence of the success that blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies can play within the sporting industry. The project has seen huge popularity within the European football space. And recently announced it would be expanding to North America with an additional $50 million in funding.

The synergy witnessed between sports and cryptocurrencies is obvious. Both represent exciting industries that continue to grow. The latest partnership for Crypto.com is unlikely to be the last within the sports scene.
