With Bitcoin (BTC) and altcoins pushing to recover some of the ground lost last week, crypto airdrops present investors with low-bar opportunities to get in early on promising projects.
Airdrops distribute free tokens to attract new followers and expand user bases. This week, the following projects are among the most promising choices.
RedotPay
SponsoredRedotPay is one of the crypto airdrops to watch this week. The blockchain service has raised upwards of $87 million.
On September 25, RedotPay raised $47 million in additional investment. The project has an app in Telegram where airdrop farmers can create a crypto card and earn points, which could be rewarded in the future.
RedotPay also features daily treasure chests, which airdrop farmers can open to unlock treasures every day.
The project backers include Coinbase Ventures and Galaxy, although Lightspeed led the second-tier fundraiser.
Andrena
SponsoredAnother crypto airdrop to watch for the first week of October is Andrena (DAWN), a blockchain service backed by DragonFly, VanEck, ParaFi Capital, Robot Ventures, and Wintermute, among others.
The Andrena airdrop status is confirmed, with the project recording $35.5 million in funds raised. Airdrop farmers earn points simply by using the Andrena browser extension.
On September 24, Andrena released a new and improved version of its browser node extension. With it, users who had already been farming project points must delete the old extension and install the new one.
New users, however, only need to install the new extension and start earning points. Some users decry inaccurate points displayed in the new version, but the developers articulated that they are already fixing this issue.
Espresso
Espresso (ESP), a blockchain service that has raised $64 million, is also on the watchlist among the top crypto airdrops for the first week of October.
The first-tier fundraiser was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Sequoia Capital, with others participating, such as Coinbase Ventures, Polychain, and Blockchain Capital.
SponsoredMeanwhile, players like Electric Capital and Greylock Partners co-led in the second tier, whereas the Gemini exchange participated in the third tier.
While the ESP airdrop status remains in the potential stage, Espresso has already announced the launch of a new activity. The winners can receive Composable NFTs (non-fungible tokens) for free.
The activity requires airdrop farmers to visit the website, create a room to their liking, and share it on X (Twitter). The creators of the best rooms will receive NFTs.
Alongside the composable NFT giveaway, Espresso is also running the Caff Creator Role and Layer-3 tasks concurrently, which launched on July 21 and May 14, respectively.
