Joaquin Sastre

Trained as an engineer, after working as a strategic consultant for top-tier corporations, I am currently responsible for managing the business and products of BitGo in EMEA and LatAm, handling many of our most significant client relationships with institutional investors, governments, exchanges, fintech companies, and cryptocurrency platforms, among others. In the past 5 years, I have been involved in one of the largest mergers and acquisitions transactions in the cryptocurrency industry (the acquisition of Xapo, Inc. by Coinbase Custody, the world's largest bitcoin custodian at the time), and in the first-ever government cryptocurrency initiative (the Chivo Wallet in El Salvador). I have also been a guest lecturer on blockchain technology and digital assets at IE Business School and other top educational institutions.
