Disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) is reportedly providing crypto tips to prison guards while awaiting sentencing for his fraud trial.
Furthermore, another source stated that he is using fish as currency, for payments for services like the haircut a fellow inmate gave him before his court case.
SBF Having To Adjust To Prison Lifestyle
Recent reports indicate that SBF has adopted mackerel as a form of currency, making it the new commodity akin to cigarettes within prison environments. Additionally, according to one source, SBF is providing crypto tips to the prison guards.
Furthermore, SBF is reportedly receiving his “desired Adderall dosage,” which is medication known to treat ADHD. Additionally, he is allegedly receiving his preferred vegetarian meals.
He has previously raised concerns about both the medication and vegetarian meals, asserting that the prison has not been meeting his desired standard for either option.
On Aug. 22, BeInCrypto reported that SBF lawyers informed the Manhattan federal court that he is surviving on a diet of “bread and water” in prison.
This came after almost two weeks after the court revoked SBF’s bail on Aug. 11 for alleged witness tampering.

SBF Legal Developments In Recent Times
On Nov. 3, it was revealed that SBF was found guilty of all seven counts of fraud. A jury panel consisting of 12 members reached the verdict after deliberating for four hours.
US district court judge Lewis Kaplan has scheduled SBF’s sentencing for March 28, 2024.
However, SBF’s legal team plans to challenge the verdict. Additionally, SBF has consistently asserted its innocence throughout the entirety of the trial.
