LongHash Ventures will be hosting the third annual Web3 Transitions Summit, a one-day event bringing together some of the greatest minds at the forefront of web3.

Among them will be Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin as a keynote speaker. The Summit will take place on September 17, 2024, at the Singapore National Art Gallery, at the sidelines of the TOKEN2049 conference.

Attendees can expect presentations and panel discussions from influential figures in the web3 ecosystem, representing a diverse range of perspectives from both established players and emerging innovators. Other speakers include Shi Khai Wei of LongHash Ventures, Yield Guild Games Co-Founder Gabby Dizon, Starknet CEO Eli Ben Sasson, Avara CEO Stani Kulechov, zkSync Director Marco Cora, Polygon Co-Founder Sandeep Nailwal, Monad Co-Founder Eunice Giarta, Kakarot Co-Founder Elias Tazartes, Zaki Manian of Cosmos, Saga Co-Founder Rebecca Liao, and more.

“We’re thrilled to bring together thought leaders and innovators in the web3 space,” said Emma Cui, Founding Partner of LongHash Ventures. “This summit represents a unique opportunity for attendees to gain cutting-edge knowledge and network with key players shaping the future of decentralized technologies.”

This year’s theme revolves around Vitalik’s writeup on the “2020s Ethereum” with each panel at the event inspired by the four points in the article’s conclusion: Infrastructure, Scaling, End-user Applications and Tech Enablement. Panels will expand on how blockchains like Ethereum are shifting their focus to become less disruptive and more integrated into applications, moving to being more than just a financial ecosystem. These will also touch on how many web3 builders and developers are now building tools for millions to use and how mindsets are shifting with these changes.

The event is tailored for industry professionals, developers, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts looking to deepen their understanding of the transition from traditional web technologies to the rapidly evolving world of web3. The Web3 Transitions Summit will also be an event providing networking opportunities, insights into the latest trends, and discussions on the challenges and opportunities in the web3 landscape.

The third annual Web3 Transitions Summit is organized by LongHash Ventures, Yield Guild Games (YGG), and Kakarot. Sponsors for the event include Theoriq, 0G Labs, and Union. Registration is now ongoing at the official website.

Abou Kakarot

Kakarot is an EVM-compatible ZK-Rollup that leverages Cairo to spearhead innovations on Ethereum. This offers a strong edge to core ZK infrastructure builders: separating cryptography and engineering. Because of its architecture, Kakarot is the only zkEVM rollup that’ll be able to follow and even front-run upgrades to the Ethereum protocol. Under the hood, Kakarot zkEVM relies on the Starknet stack (CairoVM + StarknetOS runtime).
