The US Appeals Court’s recent decision states that President Donald Trump must turn over 8 years of his personal and corporate tax returns.
According to the recent ruling, a three-judge appeals panel has decided that the US President Donald Trump needs to turn over eight years of corporate and personal tax returns as soon as possible. The country’s president’s attempts to keep his financial records hidden are going to see a major setback due to the ruling, although it remains to be seen whether or not Trump will comply.

The US President Is Immune From Investigations, Claims Trump

As soon as the decision was made, one of his personal lawyers, Jay Sekulow, stated that the president is shielded from any criminal investigations by the Constitution. The next step for Trump would be to appeal to the Supreme Court, as Sekulow says. Of course, the high court is not under any obligation to hear the case, so the possibility of them rejecting it remains. However, considering the fact that it involves the President of the United States, chances are that the court will agree to a hearing. Trump Turkish Economy This is far from being the only case to involve the current US president, and others involve some quite diverse matters. One involves a request for access to Trump’s business and tax records, while another revolves around a request to access a full report as prepared by Robert S. Mueller III. Another case from about a month ago saw a federal judge’s ruling that the House Judiciary Committee is allowed to see Mr- Mueller’s evidence. As for requests that Trump’s accounting firm surrenders 8 years’ worth of tax records, Trump himself fought rather vigorously to prevent it from happening.

Trump Can Be Prosecuted After Leaving Office

Unfortunately, the Monday decision did not accept Trump’s argument that the president should be immune from criminal investigations. The court argued that it was the president’s accounting company, and not the president himself, who needs to provide the necessary documentation. Trump For now, Trump’s lawyers continue to use his presidential immunity as their main argument, and since this argument was never tested in court, it remains unknown whether or not it will be accepted. What do you think about the court’s decision? Should the court be able to force the president to comply with the law, or should the president’s immunity argument be respected?
