Tron Foundation Begins Monthly Airdrops of BitTorrent Tokens

The initial BTT airdrop for TRX holders occurred at block 6.6 million. 1.1 percent of the total supply of 9.9 trillion BTT was distributed. For every 1 TRX owned, 0.1097681177 BTT was airdropped, equaling a total of 10.90 trillion BTT. At least 45 exchanges and wallets supported the airdrop.

Schedule of Monthly Airdrop

On March 11, 2019, when the second monthly airdrop is supposed to take place, 9.9 billion, rather than 10.89 trillion, BTT will be airdropped to TRX holders. The rate at which BTT will be airdropped is subject to annual fluctuations. Each year 0.1 percent more of the total supply of BTT will be airdropped than that which was distributed during the year prior. The schedule for the next six years has been defined as such:

• 1.2 percent of the total supply will be distributed between March 11, 2019, and Feb 11, 2020. This amounts to a total of 11.88 trillion tokens. 990 billion BTT will be airdropped monthly.
• 1.3 percent of the total supply will be distributed between March 11, 2020, and Feb 11, 2021. This amounts to a total of 12.87 trillion tokens. 1.0725 trillion BTT will be airdropped monthly.
• 1.4 percent of the total supply will be distributed between Mar 11, 2021, and Feb 11, 2022. This amounts to a total of 13.86 trillion tokens. 1.155 trillion BTT will be airdropped monthly.
• 1.5 percent of the total supply will be distributed between Mar 11, 2022, and Feb 11, 2023. This amounts to a total of 14.85 trillion tokens. 1.2375 trillion BTT will be airdropped monthly.
• 1.6 percent of the total supply will be distributed between Mar 11, 2023, and Feb 11, 2024. This amounts to a total of 15.84 trillion tokens. 1.32 trillion BTT will be airdropped monthly.
• 1.7 percent of the total supply will be distributed monthly between Mar 11, 2024, and Feb 11, 2025. This amounts to 16.83 trillion tokens. 1.4025 BTT will be airdropped monthly.

Two Airdrops

Using the numbers presented by the Tron Foundation, it is calculated that a total of 97.02 trillion tokens are slated to be airdropped to TRX holders between Feb 11, 2019 and Feb 11, 2025 over 73 monthly increments. This amounts to 9.8 percent of the total supply of BTT. Another 10 percent of the total supply has also been announced to be airdropped to BTT holders.
