Anthony Scaramucci’s SkyBridge Capital hedge fund says it will launch a non-fungible token (NFT) platform named Flatter.

SkyBridge Capital, a hedge fun run by former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci, is getting into the NFT game. The company announced the upcoming platform during the 2021 SALT Conference in New York City. In a statement, SkyBridge Capital said that the launch of Flatter will bring combine philanthropy with sought-after collectibles.

In the press release, Scaramucci said that “I’ve always wanted to be at the forefront of technological innovation, and this platform gives us an opportunity to make NFTs tangible by pairing them with one-of-a-kind collectibles and experiences.”

SkyBridge NFT debut

The collection will feature two different NFTs at launch. The first represents 140 real-world bottles of rare and expensive whiskey with Scaramucci’s portrait on them. Each portrait is the creation of French digital artist ‘8th Project’ with the artist and Scaramucci signing each bottle personally. The bottles will be sold in three blocks. The first block will be sold for one Ethereum ($3,220) each, the second at 1.25 ETH ($4,026), and the third at 1.5 ETH ($4,831).

Ownership of the NFT grants the buyers tickets to SALT 2022 and a pair of seats at a VIP dinner. A part of the proceeds from the sale will go to fund the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee.

The second package available from Flatter features NFT SALT tickets with the company’s logo adorning a salt shaker. Each ticket grants access to every SALT conference around the globe for life with VIP access. VIP perks for these events include VIP seating, access to backstage rooms, a cocktail party, and a cup of coffee with Scaramucci himself. Each winner will also receive a “power breakfast,” for two with Scaramucci in 2022 plus invites to SkyBridge Capital events.

“I’m excited to introduce this new concept and to tie the first two pieces to the SALT conference, which was itself groundbreaking when first launched in 2009,” Scaramucci says.

SkyBridge says that after the SALT NFTs sell, they will move into sports memorabilia in October.
