Zagreb, Croatia – October 29, 2020 – Shift, the leading South-East European tech event producer, announced today that their leading regional financial technology conference, Shift Money, will be held on December 7-8 2020 in Zagreb, Croatia.

This is the third edition of Shift Money, and it will be hosted for the first time in partnership with the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) that is taking place from December 7-11 2020. The SFF is the world’s largest fintech event organized by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), bringing together regional and international leaders in finance, business, government, and technology.

This year, SFF will feature a unique hybrid format combining a 24-hour online event platform with over 40 global satellite events in fintech hubs around the world, including Croatia. Shift Money is a Global Satellite Event of SFF 2020, with Croatia featured as one of the location partners of the SFF that will host a physical event.

Shift Money takes place across two days, featuring content and fintech showcases from Croatia but also from all around the world, and providing attendees with exclusive access to networking opportunities with industry leaders and sponsors.

The event will also feature discussions with industry leaders on the future of money, and an exhibition of companies to facilitate the exchange of ideas, connections, and drive partnerships and deals in payments and financial services. As a Global Satellite Event of SFF 2020, sessions at Shift Money will be broadcasted live on the SFF online event platform, allowing SFF attendees globally to view these sessions taking place in Croatia.

“We are thrilled for Shift Money to be part of SFF and to, in this way, put Zagreb on the map of the leading global fintech events. Fintech really proved to be the most exciting and fastest-moving tech vertical in terms of adoption which combines brilliant startups, motivated industry leaders, and an engaged regulatory sector,” said Ivan Burazin, Founder & CEO of Shift.

“At Shift, we believe in combining all the sub-verticals and different markets and cultures in order to obtain the best result for all the participants. In this way, Shift Money becomes a catalyst for global and local ideas alike”

Sopnendu Mohanty, Chief FinTech Officer of MAS, said, “As a burgeoning fintech destination in South-East Europe, Croatia is a growing innovation hotspot which has seen the emergence of young and skilled digital talent. In the spirit of going truly global this year, we are delighted to partner Shift Money to connect Croatia’s financial and tech communities to the global SFF community, to exchange ideas and create opportunities for fintech innovation.”

This year’s Shift Money is coming at the end of a challenging year due to the global pandemic, ensuing lockdowns, and traveling restrictions which inadvertently affected conference producers globally. Shift successfully organized their leading developer conference Shift Dev in late September, hailed as an exemplary solution to organize business gatherings in these unprecedented times, ensuring all preconditions are met for the upcoming Shift Money 2020.
