Qtopia – The First LGBTQ Metaverse is in the Pipeline

Qtopia: French company Crypto Blockchain Industries (CBI) have announced that they are bringing to life the first LGBTQ-focused Metaverse. It will be called Qtopia, and will sit inside a larger metaverse called the Alphaverse.

Due to be fully online in 2023, it is hoped that Qtopia will be a safe space for those who are part of the LGBTQ community.

The Alphaverse was founded by Frédéric Chesnais, He was previously Chairman-CEO and principal shareholder of flagship gaming company Atari.

AlphaVerse aims to be a centralized hub of Metaverse universes. People inside these virtual communities can purchase virtual accessories as NFTs.

As for the Qtopia metaverse, is will be an online hangout and meeting place. Anyone who is a member of the LGBTQ community, or is an ally can interact.

Land and Tokens

Before the metaverse goes live, fans can buy virtual real estate. This includes houses, apartments, and other types of properties within the virtual world.

Members can also buy the native crypto, called UniQoin. The token can be used to buy from items from businesses both inside the metaverse, and offline.

A percentage of the proceeds from the real estate and from the UniQoin currency will be donated to LGBTQ charities.

Co-Founders of the former Qutie LGBTQ Social App, Rachel Kimelman and Jordan Weiss, are now working on the build of Qtopia.

Says Weiss, “We’re very excited and proud to announce the first LGBTQ-focused Metaverse and partner with AlphaVerseto launch it.”

Kimelman added, “Qtopia will support the community by not only providing them with a space to come together virtually from all over the world, but also financially, as part of our sales will be donated to charity, and our currency will focus on helping LGBTQ-friendly businesses.”

Frédéric Chesnais is the CEO of AlphaVerse. “As the AlphaVerse continues to grow, we want to ensure it is inclusive and offers spaces for everyone. Qtopia is exactly the kind of community we want to welcome to the Metaverse.”
