Pedro Barreiro is Director of Banking at Nomad, a fintech that gives Brazilians access to a global financial life, including a US bank account and debit card usable in more than 180 countries. He joined in mid-2024 to lead the Banking area, tasked with improving the customer experience across Nomad's products and services and helping develop new ones, as the company expands and diversifies its financial portfolio (having surpassed 1.8 million accounts and R$3 billion in assets under custody). With more than 18 years in financial services, Barreiro began his career at major banks including HSBC and Bradesco before moving into fintech. At EBANX and then Wise, where he spent just over four years, he had been leading Latin American regional expansion since October 2023 before joining Nomad. He holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Milan and is based in London.
