The biggest event for women in technology in Europe is returning to Warsaw and to the offline formula. The capital city will once again become the place for discussion about the newest technologies, their impact on our lives, and the role women have to play in it.

The “Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2022” will take place on June 7-8 and will have 5,000 participants from over 100 countries. It is addressed to women who are studying, entering their professional careers, professionals, scientists, activists, leaders, startuppers, and all women who have an interest in technology and want to find inspiration, the best knowledge, and to join in the changes taking place in the modern world.

The event is organized by the Perspektywy Education Foundation and its partners are fifty of the biggest technology companies and the best technical universities from Poland and the world.

The Perspektywy Summit has the ambition to become Poland’s first climate-positive event. “The Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit is a meeting of engaged, wise, and responsible women in tech– and this is an obligation. We know a lot depends on us. The fight for the planet is currently the most important issue. Our duty is to act.

Therefore, we undertake to make the Summit an event truly sensitive to the subject of impact on the climate,” says Dr. Bianka Siwińska, chairperson of the Perspektywy Education Foundation and the Summit’s creator.

“We will count, reduce, and offset the greenhouse gas emissions related to the event’s organization, adding a lot extra – and we will commemorate it by leaving a protected, biodiverse forest in the area surrounding the Biebrza National Park. Therefore, the emissions will be more than compensated for. We want to go a step further – not just zero emissions, but also a positive influence on climate. This is a huge challenge!”

The Chief Partner of the Climate-Positive Summit idea is Orange, with the supporting partners the City of Warsaw and Plan Be Eco.

The Summit are two super intensive days full of conversations about the newest happenings in technology and our joint future in this context – with the program for three stages, a series of 100 specialist workshops, a mentoring zone and a Career Expo bringing together companies and institutions particularly eager to employ women.

There will also be numerous side events – a series of evening meetings in companies (Tech Warsaw Welcomes), a scientific seminar for IT researchers, and a Great Celebration of Women in TECH&IT – a lively evening event combined with rewarding the TOP10 Women in Artificial Intelligence.

The most important topic of this year’s Summit will be metaverse, artificial intelligence in its newest and most practical forms, blockchain, cybersecurity, pro-climate technologies, deep tech, 5G, and the cloud. We have prepared workshops, techtalks, speeches by over 150 inspiring speakers, and wonderful special guests from all over the world.

Students from technical and science faculties can apply for free tickets to the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2022. A pool of grants has also been prepared as part of the “Poland IT Hub” project, for female students from East and Central Asia. Ticket sales will start on 25 February and their number is limited.
