Hamster Kombat, the popular tap-to-earn game on Telegram, has officially announced that its token generation event (TGE) and airdrop will occur on September 26.

Touted as the largest in crypto history, this airdrop will allocate 60% of its volume to players. Meanwhile, the team will use the rest of the HMSTR tokens to enhance market liquidity and develop the game’s ecosystem.

What’s Next for Hamster Kombat After TGE and Airdrop?

The Hamster Kombat team outlined how they would distribute the airdrop. They consider several factors, including in-game activity, the number of friends invited, and daily quests completed. Even new players who start now will be eligible for the airdrop, and additional tasks may be introduced as the listing date approaches.

Initially scheduled for July, the Hamster Kombat team postponed the airdrop due to operational challenges. While this may be frustrating for some, the team assured that they have worked closely with TON ecosystem to ensure it meets the community’s high expectations.

“We chose the airdrop date based on the optimal timeframe for implementing the required technological solutions. We worked with the TON team and major exchanges, which will require time to onboard new users. Our primary goal is to ensure the users will receive their share of the drop as early as possible and without any issues,” the team told BeInCrypto in an email.

Despite some internal challenges, including reports of conflicts between team members and investors, Hamster Kombat remains on track for the upcoming TGE. The team has confirmed resolving these issues, allowing them to focus on the game’s development and the airdrop’s successful execution.

“We had to clear up a misunderstanding with a third party. As you and other publications have reported, there are no conflicts within the team. We continue executing our roadmap and are fully committed to delivering a record-breaking drop,” the team clarified.

BeInCrypto reported that several major exchanges, including Bitget, Bybit, Gate.io, and Kucoin, have listed the HMSTR token for pre-market trading since July. It has also generated significant interest ahead of the TGE.

The game has set several records, including becoming the largest Telegram channel with 52 million subscribers and the fastest product to reach 100 million players within two months. Additionally, it became the fastest YouTube channel to reach 10 million subscribers in only six days.

Looking ahead, the development team is also preparing updates to keep players engaged and attract new users. They plan to launch Season 2, which promises new updates and features to keep the player base engaged and attract new users.

“This begins the transformation of Hamster Kombat from a game into a gaming platform, similar to how Valve moved on from launching cult-status games to Steam, the largest game marketplace for PCs,” the team shared.

These developments are expected to boost the game’s capitalization, thereby increasing each participant’s value of the airdrop.
