Hamster Kombat’s native token, HMSTR, has surged 83% in the last week, thereby sparking excitement across its community. Furthermore, this price jump coincides with hints of an upcoming Season 2 airdrop, adding even more momentum to the buzz.

Moreover, the announcement, made on Hamster Kombat’s official Telegram channel, has significantly fueled anticipation among users eager to experience the next phase.

Season 2 Airdrop Sparks HMSTR Rally

The recent HMSTR gains align with Bitcoin’s rally to an all-time high of $82,000. Positive market trends have boosted HMSTR’s weekly gains by approximately 83% over the last week.

On November 9, the development team announced a halt on token withdrawals. This decision was part of a strategy to incentivize players who retained their HMSTR tokens within the game.

According to the official statement, all players who kept their HMSTR tokens in the game will be rewarded. The move signals a strong commitment to reward long-term holders and foster loyalty.

According to the developers, season 2 promises significant changes to gameplay and token economics. Planned features include virtual gaming studio management, tools for players to create personalized gaming spaces, a team member hiring system, community-driven game challenges, and enhanced token economics aimed at ensuring sustainable token value. These enhancements underscore the platform’s shift toward a more immersive gaming experience.

However, Hamster Kombat’s journey hasn’t been smooth. After the first airdrop on September 26, the platform faced several issues, including a decline in active users from 300 million to 49.9 million, community backlash over the execution of the airdrop, claims of favoritism toward influencers, and concerns regarding fairness in anti-cheat measures.

“Hamster Kombat’s Season 2 won’t succeed unless they fix the big mistake of disqualifying 65%+ of their players. It feels like a planned move to get rid of many users after gaining from their effort. Yes, cheaters should be punished, but their system has failed to spot the real cheaters. Many who used key generators are still eligible, while honest players who spent months collecting 100-200 keys were unfairly disqualified,” said Keyur Rohit on X.

Despite these setbacks, Hamster Kombat’s unique features, such as the Hamster News update, have continued to engage users and distinguish it from other Telegram-based crypto games like Notcoin, Dogs, and CATS.

Rumors suggest that season 2 will shift the platform’s focus from crypto exchange simulation to a broader gaming ecosystem. The development team has pledged to address past challenges by stabilizing token economics, refining gameplay, and enhancing reward distribution. As Hamster Kombat readies for its season 2 launch, these efforts demonstrate a renewed focus on community needs and game evolution.
