Elon Musk has apparently denied the ‘confirmed deal’ between Telegram and X AI Grok. A social media comment from the Tesla founder has thrown the community into disarray.
Hours after Durov posted that Telegram and xAI had agreed to a one-year partnership to integrate Grok across all Telegram apps, Elon Musk publicly denied any formal agreement.
Elon Musk Responds: ‘No Deal Has Been Signed’
Durov’s earlier post claimed the integration would roll out this summer, bringing Grok’s AI capabilities to Telegram’s billion-plus users and strengthening the platform’s financial position.
The announcement initially sparked excitement across the Toncoin (TON) community, driving the token up over 20% to $3.69. At 22:29 UTC, Musk responded directly on X: “No deal has been signed.”
Due to Musk’s comment, the price of TON quickly reversed course. Within 30 minutes, it fell sharply from $3.45 to $3.27.
However, later Durov replied to Musk’s tweet to offer clarification.
“True. Agreed in principle, but formalities are pending,” Durov said.
The sequence of events triggered sharp volatility in TON’s price, which trades at $3.30, up by 7.77% at the time of writing.

Indeed, the conflicting messages have unsettled investors. The lack of alignment between the two tech leaders is raising concerns about credibility and communication breakdowns.
Toncoin, which is closely tied to Telegram’s blockchain ecosystem, often reacts to developments within the app. If the Grok integration does not materialize, some traders anticipate a larger correction as speculative interest unwinds.
