The conference returns this October with an NFT-focused stage featuring live performances and a live NFT auction, coupled with an unmissable agenda

Zug, Switzerland – 6 October 2021 – The Crypto Valley Association (CVA), a leading global blockchain and cryptographic technology ecosystem, has today announced additional speakers who will be attending this years’ Crypto Valley Conference (CVC). The flagship event will take place from October 28-29, 2021, in Rotkreuz, Switzerland.

Reflecting the industry’s continued focus on institutional and regulatory attitudes, speakers include Chris de la Celle, Director of Institutional Business at Binance; Lucas Bestchart, President of the Bitcoin Association; Frederick Gregaard, CEO of Cardano Foundation; Markus Pedrizat, Head of Custody at Bitcoin Suisse; and Thomas Moser of Swiss National Bank.

Other speakers include Richard Astle, Head of Switzerland and the Middle East at Fireblocks; Paula Petitt, Head of Business Development at Linum Labs; Ambre Soubiran, CEO of Kaiko; Jean-Michelle Pailhon, Head of Ledger Enterprise Solutions; Jerome de Tychey, President of Ethereum France; Diana Biggs, CEO of Valour; Saro McKenna, CEO and Founder of Alienworlds; and executives from Dfinity, Bitcoin Suisse, Web 3 Foundation, SDX, and the Bancor Foundation.

In partnership with Innosuisse and sponsored by IEEE, the two-day hybrid event will feature over 500 attendees and 50+ presentations from global industry leaders. The past year has put NFTs in the spotlight. This years’ CVC will boast an NFT-focused stage featuring live performances from Polarrana, a rising pop star who recently tokenized her single with the Crypto Valley Association, the first-ever NFT issued under new Swiss blockchain law.

Other entertainment and demonstrations will include a live NFT auction, an art exhibition, and more. In addition, a series of special masterclasses will take place on October 28, which will aim to provide tangible, actionable crypto knowledge.

Commenting on the event, Daniel Haudenschild, President of the Crypto Valley Association, said: “We are looking forward to the return of the CVC, in person, this October. As the crypto and blockchain industry matures, its impact on even more factions of business and society continues to increase.

For this reason, the CVC’s ability to facilitate the coming together of leaders in academia, research, crypto, DeFi, technical development, legal, and regulation is invaluable. As an annual event, the CVC sets the foundation for the future of the blockchain industry and allows the blockchain community to check in and reflect on where we are now, where we want to go, and what we need to do to get there on a yearly basis.

Pertinent topics that will be discussed this year include security from the prosecutor’s view; government and regulatory attitudes and opportunities, challenges for centralized and decentralized exchanges; the need for self-sovereign identity; and more.”

This years’ CVC sponsors include Fireblocks, Ledger, Bitcoin Suisse, Taurus, OpedPayd, Sygnum, Dukascopy Bank, Copper, and Incore.

The CVC is organized in collaboration with the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

Dr. Alexander Denzler, Head of the Blockchain Lab at Lucerne University, said: “The CVC is a staple event in the blockchain industry calendar. Our continued involvement and support for the event reflect our academic institutions’ commitment to debate, discussion and making connections.

The reopening of in-person events provides the industry with the opportunity to make lasting relationships once again and we look forward to welcoming attendees this October.”
