CompareForexBrokers Releases Key Findings Of Forex Broker Speed Tests

Editorial Note

Forex and CFD specialists, CompareForexBrokers have conducted speed tests on 20 forex brokers to determine which have the fastest execution speeds for limit and market orders.

The forex brokers that offer the fastest order execution speeds

Fast execution speed is vital to avoid slippage which can result in orders closing at a price different to the requested price. To help find the brokers with the fastest order execution speeds, CompareForexBrokers conducted testing using 20 MetaTrader 4 forex brokers.

These tests, led by Ross Collins, Chief Technology Researcher at CompareForexBrokers, found BlackBull Markets had the fastest execution speeds. The New Zealand-based broker posted average execution speeds of 73 milliseconds (0.073 seconds) for limit orders and 94 milliseconds (0.094 seconds) for market orders.

Other notable brokers included Pepperstone, which was second fastest for limit orders at 77 milliseconds and Fusion Markets which was fastest for market orders at 70 milliseconds.

Justin Grossbard, Strategic Head Of Research, says “If your trading strategy relies on profits of just a few pips (e.g. scalping), or if you use automated trading, execution speeds are key to your success.”

All testing was done on the popular MetaTrader 4 trading platform across 20 of the top brokers in the world.

The overall rankings below scored brokers on a scale between 2 (the fastest across all trade types) and 40 (the slowest).
