Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG) are giving fans the chance to win $200,000 in free crypto. And free is everyone’s favorite price.

Winning a stack of crypto can be accomplished by playing Chipotle’s interactive game called “Buy The Dip.” The campaign is pretty clever, even the most hardened crypto bros will admit that both dips – the guacamole and the crypto winter – are probably a good opportunity to buy.

Winners get their prize in Bitcoin, Solana, Ethereum, Avalanche, or Dogecoin. And then, they can use these cryptocurrency bounties to buy food at the fast-food chain.

Players can also win promo codes for 1-cent guacamole. And one cent is everyone’s second-favourite price, right after free. There are also codes for 1-cent Queso Blanco. This is all to promote U.S.’s National Avocado Day on July 31. And if your thing doesn’t have a national day, does it even exist?

From today, Mexican fast-food lovers can play the game here. The comp will end on July 31, perhaps when all of the avocadoes run out.

Chipotle and Crypto

Chipotle accepts cryptocurrency across the U.S. through a collab with Flexa, who make an app where customers can pay in crypto. 98 cryptos and digital currencies are accepted.

Chipotle got into the cryptocurrency space in April of 2021.  It was the first U.S. restaurant chain to launch a crypto comp with the “Burritos or Bitcoin” promotion. In this campaign, the chain gave away $100,000 in Bitcoin. This was to bring attention to National Burrito Day.

Chris Brandt is the Chief Marketing Officer (and possibly a crypto bro). “We want to build the next generation of Chipotle fandom by connecting with the Web3 community. We’re excited to bring positivity to the crypto conversation by empowering fans to ‘Buy The Dip.’”

Crypto winter may be here, but adoption seems to be surging forward, despite the cold snap outside. Olé!
