The French Team of Binance has begun minting NFTs on Binance Smart Chain to award users for their engagement, and will be followed by Binance Spain. The initiative will likely be rolled out globally soon.
The French team of Binance in collaboration with Socios.com held a series of six-hour-long webinars dubbed a “webimarathon” about the Binance ecosystem, according to industry insiders.
Both Changpeng Zhao (CZ) and Alexander Dreyfus, CEOs of Binance and Socios.com, respectively, participated in the event, along with employees of Binance.
The leading crypto exchange is reportedly planning to roll out the initiative globally.
For the Sake of Education
The objective of the webimarathon was to educate the community by introducing them to the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) ecosystem.
At the end of the final webinar, users were given an exam to test their comprehension of the material presented in the webimarathon. Based on the results, they received a certain rank of diploma — dubbed Crab, Octopus, Fish, Dolphin, Shark, and Whale — paired with a non-fungible token (NFT).
Spain Is Following Suit
The Spanish team of Binance will be following suit, organizing a masterclass of their own. The goal is to update users about new products launched during the last few months, and also help new users that joined the platform in the past year.
Due to the growing popularity of NFTs, the Spanish team decided to mint three unique designs for this special event, which are a bull, a bear, and an astronaut.
While 150 of the bulls and the bears were minted each, the astronaut is one of the most unique designs ever made by the team and so only 20 units were minted.
Binance Angels Rewards
Binance Angels are volunteers who assist Binance users, and provide other services for the crypto exchange. The Binance Angel Program currently has over 265 angels.
As a reward for their service, Binance will be creating exclusive NFTs for them. Although the design has not yet been announced, 300 units of it will be minted.
