Drift is looking for a Growth Engineer with Full Stack capabilities to be dual channel across both our business development (BD) and engineering team, to lead development of BD initiatives, as well as build and maintain our decentralised perpetual futures exchange across the tech stack (frontend, backend data, smart contracts/programs). You’ll have an opportunity to work across our entire Solana stack on cutting-edge technology that revolutionises the way we trade digital assets.

Your Role

• Front-End Applications: Build out frontend application(s) using React and Typescript
• Support Product & Engineering with Back-End Applications and Infrastructure:
  • Build out SDKs to our backend Solana contracts. Maintain off-chain infrastructure
• Code Review: Ensure code quality and software reliability through automated test implementations, UI/UX testing, and processes
• Brainstorm, strategise, and execute new ideas and experiment with metrics and data, including Google Analytics, to improve conversions and user experience
• Implement dashboards and internal tooling to measure and support the growth process
• Assist with cross-protocol integrations, attend integration calls, and be the “go-to” engineer/point of contact for implementing integrations
• Work closely with Marketing & BD to implement campaign infrastructures (e.g. front end for referral link program)
• Technically implement and experiment with growth solutions on:
  • User acquisition (SEO / PPC)
  • Conversion (A/B Testing / Onboarding)
  • Product improvements
• Maintain a growth mindset (have a detailed understanding of business KPIs and the end goal)
• Team player with great collaboration skills who is also able to work independently and problem-solve

Your Experience

• 2+ years of experience in frontend and backend software development
• Experience in building decentralised applications using web3.js
• Understanding of blockchain concepts and smart contracts
• Ability to go from design concepts to implementation quickly
• Track record or hands-on experience driving growth in a start-up environment
• Results-oriented, using data to tell which initiatives are driving growth
• Passion for blockchain technology, cryptonomic protocol design, game theory, and decentralised finance
• Experience with analytic software and methodology such as R and Python (libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and SciPy), as well as data visualisation experience (e.g., Tableau)

Nice to Have

• Experience with any blockchain at the protocol level
• Experience contributing to a hyper-growth company, or existing Fintech, or financial organisation
• Understanding of perpetual futures, options, margin trading and derivatives products
• Familiarity with the Solana blockchain and building applications on Solana
• BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or relevant discipline
