It appears as though Cardano (ADA) will be added as a supported cryptocurrency on hardware wallet Ledger Nano S.
Although it is yet to be announced officially, many have been speculating that Cardano (ADA) will be added to the Ledger Nano S. The announcement will likely come today (March 27, 2019) from the Ledger team itself. What is the reason for the speculation? There are a few, and it is surprisingly not unfounded as most cryptocurrency rumors tend to be. The rumor started on March 14 when the CEO of the Cardano Foundation, Charles Hoskinson, tweeted a picture of a Ledger Wallet with a Cardano logo on it. Then, on March 25th Ledger tweeted: “Coming Soon: One of the most requested apps for the Ledger Nano S.” Even more strangely, the Ledger tweet featured an image of the Cardano logo hiding behind the Ledger Nano S. All the indications seem to be pointing to the fact that ADA’s addition to Ledger is imminent.   Furthermore, crypto personality @IvanOnTech stirred the pot a bit more by tweeting that ADA would be supported by Ledger today. The speculation has seemed to have an effect on market sentiment. After a weekly low of $0.051 on March 21, ADA has jumped over 25 percent by March 24. This trend has continued, and ADA is currently trading at $0.067, perhaps bolstered by the imminent news of ADA support on Ledger. ADA has also posted strong gains this week due to Binance adding two new stablecoin trading pairs for the cryptocurrency: ADA/PAX and ADA/USDC. So, by all accounts, it seems that the rumor is legitimate. If the stars align just right, we could expect an official Ledger announcement for support of Cardano later today. Will you be storing Cardano (ADA) on your Ledger Nano S? Will ADA continue its uptick higher? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
