The Uniswap Protocol is the largest decentralized trading and automated market making protocol (often called a DEX, “Decentralized Exchange”) on Ethereum. The Uniswap Labs team was a major contributor to the Uniswap Protocol and now focuses on building a suite of products to support the Uniswap ecosystem. Our team is one of the most impactful in crypto. We are based out of SoHo in New York City with the option to be partially or fully remote depending on the position.
Job Summary
Responsibilities:
đź“ŤOwn and deliver end-to-end design projects for new and improved consumer products that increase clarity and user agency in decentralized finance and web3 đź“ŤTackle complex challenges in emerging technology by inventing new mental models and designing cutting-edge interactions with minimal oversight đź“ŤUse a human-centered approach that incorporates qualitative and quantitative data to create conceptual wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. đź“ŤEffectively collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and research partners to influence product strategy and roadmap. đź“ŤContribute to the development and maintenance of a unified design system that increases the velocity and consistency of the frontend engineering team. đź“ŤMentor junior designers and help define best practices through feedback, documentation, and team crit. đź“ŤContribute to the broader design culture through writing, presentations, and external community engagement.
Requirements:
đź“Ť5 years of product design experience, including research, prototyping, and implementation of user-facing applications. With some experience in FinTech or adjacent industries through relevant design work. đź“ŤDemonstrated experience working with component libraries or design systems. đź“ŤA strong desire to design within the context of web3/blockchain/decentralized finance. đź“ŤProficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Framer, or equivalent. đź“ŤExcellent visual design and interaction design skills, with a strong portfolio that reflects independent project ownership and high-quality execution. đź“ŤStrong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale to cross-functional teams.
