The Infrastructure organization builds and operates the foundational systems that power all of Robinhood's products and services. This group focuses on reliability, scalability, and developer productivity by delivering platforms, tooling, and compute systems that support engineering teams across the company.
As a Senior Software Developer, you will lead the design and delivery of infrastructure platforms and systems that support developers and services across Robinhood. You will take ownership of complex technical projects, guide architectural decisions, and mentor engineers while contributing directly to code and system design. You will partner closely with infrastructure and product teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and developer workflows at scale!
Responsibilities:
đź“ŤLead the design and implementation of infrastructure platforms, services, and tooling that support large-scale application development đź“ŤOwn and deliver complex, multi-phase technical projects, from design through production rollout and iteration đź“ŤDevelop backend systems and shared services using languages such as Go and Python, setting standards for code quality and maintainability đź“ŤDesign and improve Kubernetes-based systems, including cluster architecture, controllers, and deployment workflows đź“ŤPartner with engineering teams to provision, optimize, and scale cloud infrastructure across AWS environments đź“ŤDiagnose and resolve high-impact system issues across distributed systems, improving reliability and performance
Requirements:
đź“ŤYou have significant experience building backend or infrastructure systems using languages such as Go, Python, or similar đź“ŤYou have strong experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS đź“ŤYou have experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and building reproducible environments đź“ŤYou have experience leading technical projects and guiding architectural decisions đź“ŤYou are comfortable mentoring engineers and contributing to team-wide technical direction
