Job Summary
Responsibilities:
📍 Work closely with the Art Director and Concept Art to drive the creation of high quality VFX simulations, textures, and materials 📍Establish process, standards, documentation, and training 📍Ensure that VFX art assets are built to high technical and efficiency standards 📍Task and manage a team, both internal and with external 📍Collaborate with Production to organize, schedule, and manage the VFX team's daily activities 📍 Partner with Engineering and Technical Art to build and improve the VFX art pipeline 📍Troubleshoot a wide variety of issues in DCC tools and in game
Qualifications:
📍 Passion for iterative design and peer-to-peer culture. 📍5-7 years of professional experience VFX and leading teams 📍 Excellent understanding of timing, motion, and volume preservation 📍Mastery of modern asset generation techniques in industry standard DCC tools (Maya/Houdini, Photoshop, etc) 📍A solid understanding of performance budgets, and other technical requirements for building optimized content 📍Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal 📍Experience managing and collaborating with a team working remotely 📍Extensive experience collaborating with other departments, artists, designers, and programmers 📍Experience working with modern game engines such as Unreal, Unity, or proprietary technologies
