Job Summary
Your mission
šBuild highly available, resilient, consistent, and performant microservices to power Ledgerās products. šIntegrate Buy, Sell, Earn, and Swap services by connecting to partner APIs. šDesign monitoring systems for detecting failures and ensuring efficient alerting. šSet up logging for all API requests and responses. šEnsure data integrity across multiple blockchain sources. šHandle API authentication, rate limiting, and error handling. šEngage proactively in architecture and design discussions to ensure scalable and feasible solutions. šMaintain and evolve the existing stack, proposing and implementing technical improvements. šDeliver high-quality software by testing, documenting, and demonstrating features. šDevelop and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and security workflows. šConduct root cause analysis on software issues and implement practical fixes. šCollaborate cross-functionally with other teams to complete projects. šContribute to building a shared knowledge base within Ledger. šImprove software and systems engineering standards, including documentation. šRepresent Ledger in internal and external technical events (e.g., tech talks, blog posts, meetups).
What we're looking for
šScala Backend Engineer: 2+ years of relevant engineering experience. šAdvanced Scala Expertise: Good mastery of Scala ideally on CatsIO or any similar framework; proficiency in another backend language (Rust, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) is a plus. šWeb3 & Blockchain Experience: Good understanding of blockchain fundamentals and ecosystem. šCollaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with experience working in cross-functional teams. šArchitectural Expertise: Knowledge of web architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven, P2P). šContainerization & Cloud: understanding of Docker and Kubernetes. Multicultural Experience: Fluent English communication skills. šFrontend Awareness: Basic understanding of frontend frameworks and ability to write simple frontend code in TypeScript, is a great plus
