What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

📍Serve as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for strategic BD work streams spanning payments, international, and consumer Personal Financial Account (PFA) 📍Propose creative, first-of-kind commercial structures to drive value for Coinbase and strategic assets (including USDC, Base) and drive utility for crypto in the payments industry 📍Be the business go-to leading cross-functional partnership initiatives, working with Product, Engineering, Design, Comms, Legal, Policy, Compliance, and Marketing 📍Own all elements of the partnership life cycle: scoping of opportunities, identifying potential partners, framing of value, negotiating agreements, and deal execution 📍Build a measurement framework to quantify the impact of the various growth initiatives, working closely with Data Science & Engineering

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

📍8+ years of experience across strategic deal-oriented roles with global exposure. Examples include: business development, corporate development, new market expansion, go-to-market strategy and partnerships 📍Strong payments expertise, with an understanding of different parts of the web2 payments value chain and (at minimum) an appreciation for how stablecoin & low-cost L2s can update the financial system 📍Experience in crypto (personal or professional) 📍Exceptional interpersonal communication, relationship management, and organizational skills, including navigating complex organizational dynamics to deliver cross-team results. Nuanced and well-framed communications are key.
