Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
šEvent Planning and Execution: šOrganize and manage technical events such as hackathons, hacker houses and university engagements ā both virtually and in-person. šWork closely with the engineering and developer relations teams to design event experiences that align with Aptosā developer education and adoption goals. šCollaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth event execution. šFor Aptos owned events - oversee all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection,content and content production, AV setup, hardware needs, and ensuring smooth on-site execution. šAssist the engineering team with the development of event programming, such as speaker sessions, coding challenges, and mentorship opportunities, to drive deeper technical engagement. šCoordinate with external stakeholders, including universities, developer groups, and community leaders, to expand Aptosā developer reach.
What We're Looking For:
š3-5 years of experience in event planning and coordination. šStrong project management skills with experience handling multiple events simultaneously. šStrong familiarity with developer communities, hackathon operations, and university engagement strategies. šExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in negotiation and partnership management. šAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. šAbility to travel globally to execute a busy calendar of events - 30% of annual travel should be expected.
