What you’ll do

📍Serve as the accounting lead on complex and emerging business initiatives, working cross-functionally to identify, evaluate, and resolve technical accounting issues. Ensure conclusions are well-reasoned, properly debated, and thoroughly documented in high-quality technical memos. 📍Monitor, interpret, and apply new accounting guidance from the FASB, SEC, and other regulatory bodies; assess the impact on the Company’s financial statements and lead the implementation of relevant changes. 📍Support M&A transactions, including accounting due diligence, purchase price allocation (PPA), integration of acquired entities, and preparation of required SEC filings such as pro forma financial information and disclosures. 📍Serve as a primary liaison with external auditors on complex transactions and technical matters, fostering a transparent and collaborative relationship. 📍Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of Company-wide accounting policies, including updates to existing policies and drafting of new policies in response to evolving business needs and accounting standards. 📍Lead or support cross-functional strategic initiatives and special projects, including product launches, new revenue models, or structural reorganizations, ensuring accounting impacts are proactively addressed.

What you bring

📍Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with an active CPA (or equivalent) and 10+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or technical accounting, with strong exposure to SEC reporting and complex accounting matters. 📍Strong preference for experience in broker-dealer, fintech, or high-growth tech environments. 📍Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, with a proven ability to interpret and apply evolving standards and regulatory guidance across diverse topics. 📍Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving alignment across Accounting, Legal, Finance, and Product teams. 📍Strategic, solutions-oriented thinker who thrives in fast-paced settings, with a bias for action, strong communication skills, and high attention to detail. A lifelong learner deeply passionate about technical accounting and emerging industry trends, consistently seeking to improve and evolve in response to a changing regulatory and business landscape.
