Job Summary
About the Position
šAs the DevOps/SRE Team Lead, you will lead a team of 5 DevOps/SRE engineers responsible for maintaining the infrastructure and tools that support the development of Parityās Polkadot SDK. Within the Product Engineering department, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. Your leadership and expertise will play a crucial role in advancing automation, enhancing efficiency, and optimising the performance of our entire technology stack. šLead a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support šDefine and implement best practices for infrastructure automation, continuous delivery and cloud operations šProvide strategic direction and contribute to the overall technology roadmap šDrive the adoption of DevOps culture, practices, and tools across the organisation šCollaborate with software development teams to streamline the build, deployment, and release processes šEstablish and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure system reliability and availability šContinuously evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve efficiency and productivity šLiaise with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritise projects, and communicate progress
About You
šStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others šStrong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes šExperience with multiple cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure, DigitalOcean, OVH, Scaleway, etc. šExperience leveraging Infrastructure as Code (eg. Terraform, Ansible) and GitOps (eg. ArgoCD, FluxCD) tooling. šExpertise in Linux-based systems šProven experience managing infrastructure teams, and overseeing large scalable, resilient and observable systems šStrong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
