Job Summary
The Job
Amalgam is hiring a full stack engineer to help with building the web and mobile application interfaces of its privacy-preserving financial products. Our first products will be delivering private payments and a private decentralized exchange through the Solana blockchain. The developer will be working with a world-class team to bring plug-and-play privacy preservation solutions to blockchains using zero-knowledge proofs. If you are excited about building blockchain applications, fast-paced startup environments, and making a large impact on successful projects, then we want to hear from you. Some of your responsibilities include: • Architecting and implementing the front end web applications • Contributing to user experience workflows • Lead and contribute to the core business as we scale up
Basic Qualifications
We are looking for smart people who are motivated and passionate about developing a must-have product for the blockchain space--with a strong focus on user experience. You should be able to hit the ground running and learn quickly. Furthermore: • You are proficient in Javascript (including Node.js and React), HTML, and CSS • Familiarity/comfort with using GitHub • You have worked with and are comfortable using database systems (structured or unstructured) • You are excited about taking on meaningful responsibilities that will make a significant impact on our products and organization
Thorough understanding of blockchain, consensus algorithms and cryptocurrencies • You have a depth of technical experience and have demonstrated excellence through previous work • You write efficient, high quality code and are fluent in JavaScript, HTML and CSS • You are a fast learner who can quickly master new technologies Commercial experience using React, Redux (or similar frameworks) Nice to Have But Not Required • C/C++ programming experience • Front end blockchain application development experience • Basic knowledge of cryptographic primitives, such as public key encryption • We have a strong preference for someone who is comfortable with taking on large responsibilities • Having a strong interest in building and scaling startups is a huge plus, because we want you involved in various conversations and decisions about the growth of the organization!
