About the Role (Your Mission) This is not a typical VP of Finance role. We need a builder. You will partner directly with the CEO and the executive leadership team to architect and own the entire financial function of the company. You won't be maintaining legacy processes; you will be creating them from scratch. As our VP of Strategic Finance, you will be the right hand to the CEO, responsible for ensuring we have the financial rigor, governance, and capital strategy to scale safely and aggressively in the volatile crypto market. ✅ What You’ll Do (Build the Future of Finance) Strategic Finance & Planning (From 0 to 1) • Build the company’s first-ever long-range financial model, annual operating plan, and rolling forecasts. You are starting with a blank sheet of paper. • Lead company-wide resource allocation and investment prioritization to ensure we are fueling our highest-growth initiatives (customer acquisition, product development). • Partner with the CEO on organizational design, headcount planning, and ensuring our burn rate aligns with our growth stage. FP&A & Treasury Management (Crypto-Native Focus) • Establish the FP&A function: budgeting, variance analysis, and performance management. • Manage our on-chain and off-chain treasury. You will be responsible for liquidity planning to ensure we always have sufficient capital to cover escrow obligations, particularly in USDT on the TRC-20 network. • Build robust financial models covering revenue (transaction fees), headcount, and cash flow. • Establish KPIs and dashboards for the executive team and future Board of Directors. Capital Markets & Token Strategy • Lead financial analysis related to capital structure. When do we raise our next round? How do we manage stablecoin reserves? • Own the financial modeling for any future token launch. Evaluate the impact of tokenomics on our core escrow business and design incentive structures that align with long-term value creation. • Support the evaluation of strategic investments or acquisitions that could expand our escrow offerings. Investor Relations & Executive Narrative • Partner with the CEO to craft our financial story for external stakeholders: VCs, institutional partners, and key clients. • Prepare materials for investor updates and due diligence processes. • Stay abreast of market trends in the crypto escrow and custody space, providing competitive analysis to the leadership team. Business Partnership & Operational Scaling • Serve as the strategic partner to the Head of Product and Head of Growth. Evaluate ROI for new feature development and marketing campaigns. • Design and implement AI-first financial tools and processes to automate reporting and reconciliation, allowing the team to focus on strategy. 🧠 Who You Are (The Candidate) You are a hybrid: part investment banker, part operator, and 100% founder. Experience: You don't just own Bitcoin; you understand stablecoin mechanics, blockchain settlements, and the regulatory nuances of digital assets. Experience with TRC-20 transactions is a significant plus. • Builder Mentality: You have a proven track record of building financial infrastructure where none existed before. You are comfortable with SQL, Excel, and crypto-native tools like Dune Analytics or Nansen. • Exceptional Executive Presence: You can explain complex financial trade-offs (e.g., "Should we raise equity or issue a token?") to non-finance founders in a clear, concise way. • High Ownership: You treat the company's capital as if it were your own. You are paranoid about risk management but optimistic about growth. • Strategic Finance Mastery: You have hands-on experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation — whether gained in a corporate setting, startup, or through entrepreneurial ventures.
