Job Summary
Responsibilities
šUnderwriting & Financial Analysis š Develop and implement underwriting guidelines for off-plan residential investments and emerging asset classes such as renewables. šConduct financial modelling, stress testing, and scenario analysis for investment opportunities. šEvaluate return metrics (IRR, NPV, ROI), financing structures, and market risks across multiple asset types. šWork closely with the Market Research Manager to integrate market trends, pre-construction demand analysis, and regulatory factors into underwriting decisions. šDeal Structuring & Risk Mitigation šAssess developer risk, pre-construction financing structures, and payment security mechanisms (e.g., escrow accounts, insurance-backed guarantees). šLead risk assessment and mitigation strategies for diverse asset classes, ensuring deals remain bankable and institutionally viable. šCollaborate with lenders, investors, and financial institutions to optimize financing structures. šļø Investor & Lender Relations šLead underwriting discussions with institutional investors, banks, and financing partners. šPrepare and present underwriting reports, risk analyses, and investment memos. šProvide data-backed insights to support investment decisions and enhance investor confidence. šļøā£Compliance & Process Optimization šWork with the Compliance Officer and Legal Team to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in multiple markets. šContinuously refine underwriting processes, incorporating automation and advanced analytics to improve efficiency. šEstablish best practices for underwriting across new asset classes, leveraging industry insights and institutional investment standards.
Qualifications
š5+ years of experience in underwriting, real estate finance, private equity, or investment banking. šExpertise in financial modelling, risk assessment, and institutional-grade underwriting standards. šExperience with off-plan residential developments preferred, but strong backgrounds in institutional investment underwriting or private equity will also be considered. šExposure to alternative asset classes (e.g., renewables, sports teams, commercial real estate) is a plus. šStrong ability to optimize underwriting processes and improve risk management frameworks.
